12 Day Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival to Moscow

Moscow, the capital of Russian Federation, is the starting point of your great Trans Siberian journey. Upon arrival an english speaking assistant will meet you at the airport and help you to get to the hotel in Central Moscow. Relax and refresh in your room before meeting your tour guide at the lobby and head to the city for an evening walk around the city, enjoying the city lights and the atmosphere of the capital of Russia. You will finish your evening walk at a restaurant near your hotel. 

Day 2 - Explore Moscow

After good night sleep and your breakfast at the hotel you will meet your english speaking tour guide and to explore Moscow. The 4 hours tour will cover all the must-see landmarks of the city, finishing at a cafe with a traditional Russian cuisine. After the lunch you can choose between having a free time in the Centre or going to another adventure of your interest: it could be a tour at the Mosfilm film studio, the Seven skyscrapers in the Stalinist style or the cruise along river Moscow. 

After the dinner you will head to the railway station, you Trans-Siberian train will depart at 11:45pm.

Day 3 - 5 - Train from Moscow to Irkutsk

Your first part of the railway journey will last for 3 days, so make yourself comfortable in your compartment and enjoy the changing images outside your window. You will pass by Vladimir, one of the "Golden Ring" towns outside Moscow before heading to Nizhny Novgorod - the city based on the bank of the majestic Volga River. You will then move towards Ural Mountains, going through Perm and stopping at Yekaterinburg for 40 min.


You will find yourself in Siberia, going through its mighty taiga and rivers. You will make stops in such towns as Tyumen and Omsk, and will witness amazing nature on your way to the next destination - Novosibirsk where you will stop for 22 min.


After that you will pass by numerous rivers: Kam, Chuna, Lya, Oka, Angara before getting to Yenisey river with the city of Krasnoyarsk, where you will stop for 20 min. One more night on the train and on the morning of Day 6 you will arrive to Irkutsk to stay there for a couple of days. 

Day 6 - Irkutsk to Baikal Lake

Upon arrival to Irkutsk, your english speaking guide will meet you at at the train station and you will head to one of the most beautiful places in Russia - lake Baikal! By now you have probably seen many photos of the lake, most of them where taken in a particular place  - the Olkhon island. You will be transferred to the island by a boat, enjoying the stunning views of Baikal. Once you are at the Olkhon island, you will head to Khuzhir village where you will stay overnight. After dinner with traditional Russian cuisine experience real Russian banya at the Khuzhir. 

Day 7 - Baikal Lake to Irkutsk

After breakfast at your resort you will meet your English speaking tour guide to explore the Khuzhir island and enjoy the views of Baikal a little bit more. After lunch you will head back to Irkutsk, stopping at another unique place - the Ethnographical museum “Taltsy” full of examples of Siberian wooden houses. Imagine the life of the local people living in Siberia centuries ago! 

When you arrive to Irkutsk, check in at your hotel and go for an evening walk with an english local guide. 


Day 8 - 10 - Train from Irkutsk to Vladivostok

Early start to catch the Transib to continue your journey towards the Far East of Russia! The second part of the rail trip is going to take 3 days. Experience the size of Russia first hand: on your way you will see the endless Siberian taiga, rivers and lakes. The last ours of your journey will bring you closer to the Chinese border and the Pacific ocean, that will appear from time to time outside your window. 


In the evening you will arrive at your final destination - Vladivostok. You have now complete the Trans-Siberian railway journey, cross it off from your bucket list!

Day 11 - 12 - Vladivostok

After breakfast at your hotel you will be greeted by an English speaking tour guide and will head to explore the the unofficial capital of the Russian Far East. If the weather is on your side, enjoy the sea views from the pedestrian bridge over the Zolotoy Rog Bay and climb the iconic Lighthouse Egersheld. Otherwise experience numerous restaurants of Vladivostok: from coffee shops offering quality roasted drinks for reasonable price to seafood, fine wine and affordable luxury at the Moloko i Med. 

Evening transfer to the airport. Back to London! Get ready for a long flight with minimum of 1 stop.
