7 Day Sample Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival to Moscow
Enjoy your flight from London Heathrow to Moscow with British Airlines. Upon arrival an english speaking assistant will meet you at the airport and help you to get to the hotel in Central Moscow. Relax and refresh in your room before meeting your tour guide at the lobby and head to the city for an evening walk around the city, enjoying the city lights and the atmosphere of the capital of Russia. You will finish your evening walk at a restaurant near your hotel.
Day 2 - Explore Moscow
After good night sleep and your breakfast at the hotel you will meet your english speaking tour guide and to explore Moscow. The 4 hours tour will cover all the must-see landmarks of the city, finishing at a cafe with a traditional Russian cuisine. After the lunch you can choose between having a free time in the Centre or going to another adventure of your interest: it could be a tour at the Mosfilm film studio, the Seven skyscrapers in the Stalinist style or the cruise along river Moscow.
In the evening you will be transferred to the airport to catch a plane to your next destination - Gorno-Altaysk (flight S7-215).
Day 3 - Arrival to Gorno-Altaysk
After an overnight flight across Russia you will land at the Gorno-Altaysk and meet your local guides. You will travel along Chuyskiy Trakt and enjoy the landscape of the Altai. On your way you will have a chance to see such places as the Yalomanskoye Gorodishche, Tsaplinsky bridge, the The confluence of Chuya and Katun rivers and the ancient sanctuary Kalbak-Tash.
Your day will finish at the Russian banya before you stay for the night in a wooden houses camp.
Day 4 - Trekking to Geyser Lake and waterfalls
After you wake up at the camping site, you will start your trekking adventure towards the Geyser Lake. The water of Geyser Lake is crystal-blue all the year round. It is so transparent, that a fish swimming in the lake gives the impression that its upper fin cuts the surface. You will then head to river Chuya where you will see Chibitsky and Vucharah waterfalls surrounded by amazing landscape.
Retuning by car to the camp for last night.
Day 5 - Rafting on the Katun River
Your last day at the Altai will be full of experiences! Start your day with the rafting at the Katun River.
You don't want to leave the place before experiencing the real local cultural touch: you will see the performance by the master of throat singing, national dancing and a master class in Altai music instrument komys. Take your very own komys home as a gift after the master class. Dinner with the local food.
Evening transfer to Gorno-Altaysk to catch a morning flight to Moscow.
Day 6 - Return to Moscow
Flight back to Moscow (around 5 hours), free time in Moscow. Relax at your hotel, meet the locals or go shopping for that Matryoshka doll!
Day 7 - Return to London Heathrow
Transfer to the airport and a flight to London Heathrow. Enjoy your flight while you are going through all these amazing photos of Moscow and Altai.
